Weddings, Events & Funerals
These are recordings of me singing, grouped by occasion — weddings, funerals and events — and within each one, by the moments they belong to. That way you can go straight to the part of the day you're thinking about.
Each is an excerpt rather than a full performance, somewhere between a minute and a half and two and a half minutes. Enough to hear the voice, and to get a sense of how a piece might sound on the day itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
These are the questions I'm asked most often about choosing music.
Weddings, funerals, events and choirs each have their own answers on their own pages — and if yours isn't among them anywhere, just ask.
-
Yes — a great deal more. What's on this page is a starting point, not a menu. The lists are there to give you somewhere to begin if you're staring at a blank page, and most people end up choosing at least one song that isn't on them. I've built up a wide repertoire over many years of ceremonies, sacred and otherwise, so if there's a piece that means something to you, ask me. More often than not I'll already know it. If I don't, I'll learn it — just give me a little notice.
-
Of course. The sections follow the way a ceremony usually runs, but no two are the same, and you shouldn't feel you have to fill every one. Some couples want music at every turn; others want three pieces and quiet in between, and that can be just as beautiful. If there's a moment I haven't listed — a reading, a candle lit for someone who couldn't be there, a family member who'd like to sing with me — tell me and we'll build it in.
-
Some do, particularly about secular songs during a Mass. It's worth asking early, because it's much easier to plan around than to change late. I've sung in a great many churches and I know the ground well, so if there's a restriction we'll find something that keeps everyone happy and still sounds like you.
-
Yes — I can arrange additional singers or a keyboard player, and even four-part harmony for something really special.
-
A few weeks before is ideal, and sooner if there's something you'd like me to learn. That said, I've had lists change the week of a wedding and it's been fine. Nothing is set in stone until you're happy.
-
Every occasion is different, so the simplest thing is to call me and tell me what you have in mind — I'll give you a straight answer, and you'll find me very reasonable.
-
Straight away. Funerals are arranged in a day or two and you shouldn't be waiting on a musician. Ring me rather than email if it's urgent, and I'll tell you there and then whether I'm free.
